Events

I deliver workshops for children and adult audiences based on my books, the art of storytelling, and adventure and nature. I also create fiendishly tricky themed quiz events for organisations and companies.

I run inspirational nature sessions centred around my 100 Ways To Save The Planet book, in schools, at conferences, and at events such as Grimm & Co’s Festival of Stories. Sessions can be focused on anything from telling stories about nature, to learning about birds and trees, and making mini-ponds and flower pots out of old wellington boots.

I’ve worked closely with a number of primary schools as part of the University of Sheffield’s WorldBuilders programme, running sessions with children and teachers on creating creating story worlds and characters, designing games, and building puzzles and escape rooms.

I put together themed quiz nights for charity, corporate and organisational events, including for the hugely popular annual Children’s Media Foundation QuizNite.

I also speak about writing, stories and nature at conferences, including regularly at the Children’s Media Conference.

If you’ve got an event or an idea for a workshop that you’d like to chat about, or a school visit or quiz enquiry, please get in touch using the form below.

The kids loved it! They were really engaged with creating their stories and didn’t want to stop for home time!
