Books

I’m an author of books for children and adults, including titles on nature, adventure and exploration.

My recent non-fiction publications, 100 Ways To Save The Planet and Explore The Elements, focus on connecting young readers with nature through fun and practical activities. Both are also useful resources for individuals, schools, communities and eco clubs.

I have a new children’s adventure series coming out soon with Happy Yak, and I’ve also written and edited books and publications on travel for the last 20 years.

The cover of the book of '100 Ways to Save the Planet' by Tom Jordan and Joshua Rice, with illustrations of a butterfly, sunflower, sloth, bee, flower, polar bear, bicycle, penguin, and recycling bin.

100 Ways To Save The Planet (Everything You Need To Know To Become A Green Superhero), with illustrator Joshua Rice, is an uplifting, practical and creative source of inspiration for young readers to engage with, enjoy and protect our wonderful natural world.

Published by Button Books, and on sale in bookshops and online and in the UK and USA.

An invaluable handbook for any family, primary or even secondary classroom: think of all the environmental superheroes it could inspire.

Explore The Elements, also with Joshua Rice, was produced in partnership with National Parks UK and Explorer HQ, and is a series of eco-missions that kids and families can do in their own neighbourhoods AND the UK’s wonderfully wild National Parks.

Such a great way for families to
explore our National Parks, and help the environment at the same time.

My most recent travel title is very close to home – the current Rough Guide: The Peak District, the National Park that’s right on my doorstep. Co-authored with Tim Binks.
